Bar flanges are ideal for small-bore applications (typically NPS 4 and below) where standard forged flanges are unavailable or lead times are prohibitive. They are machined from solid bar stock to precise tolerances.
Bar flanges can be manufactured to ASME B16.5 dimensions but are not considered forged products. They are suitable for non-code applications or where material certification meets project requirements.
